3:30 AM Tuesday .............

I was awakened by a noise in Jr's crate...Old boy was having a seizure while sleeping...scared me shitless, I jumped up but really nothing I could do for him except rub his head and let it pass. It seemed to have lasted forever during which his bladder let loose and he slobbered quite a bit however it did finally end.  Ollie was as bewildered as I was so I took her outside and by the time I returned to Jr was standing up looking out of sorts as if to say " What the hell is going on" I call to him and he walks slowly to me and I do mean slowly.......I guided him outside as Ollie was patiently waiting to greet his buddy. I returned back inside and immediately googled Dog seizures.....WOW! tons of info I started reading and reading and reading and then I thought to check on Jr outside. He was simply laying in the yard. I took a few minutes gathered my thoughts and decided to feed him and Ollie to see if he would eat. Ollie of course by this time realized his buddy was OK,devoured the food...and Jr to my surprised began eating as if nothing was wrong. I began to relax a bit went back to my computer and left them both out back for 2 hrs watching Jr continually and finding Vets in my area which brings me here, where I am now ..VCA Vetnarian Care Animal hospital.
The VCA offered free 1st exams so I took them both with emphasis on Jr. Can you blame me?

Summing up Jr is in great shape for his age 13.5 yrs old 76lbs, heart rate is fine, eyes, ears fine, temperment excellent...Siezure issue requires blood work not uncommon for dogs his age.
Ollie is slightly overweight 86lbs, could stand to lose a few lbs but great shape for her age 11yrs old, heart rate great, eyes ears fine, temperment...well she's a tad anxious..

Old dogs hanging tuff..nuff said
