I mentioned in the previous email that it was tuff practice...well apparently the coaches felt this way also. Check out this email message below that the head coach wearing the cap sent to all parents. This is why we are such a great team , destined for success that will teach these 11yr old boys a good life's lesson and why Alex is so fortunate whether he knows it or not to be apart of TEAM 4
I wanted to send an email about last night. Last night was a very difficult night for the players and coaches as well. The boys have been doing a great job this year, and last night did not go so well. I understand we push the boys beyond anything they have ever done, but it will reward them in the future. We will play in very hot and long games, and in order to ensure their safety and continued drive we prepare them very well. Players from years past understand this is a difficult team sport, and we continue to ask for 100% of their ability.
We also believe that since football is a team sport, we will encourage individuals to sacrifice their comfort level to help the team. This builds team spirit. Please continue to encourage your son to drive 100% all the time, and things will get easier. As you can see we have transitioned more into football and less into conditioning and our techniques as coaches will change. Saturday will be our first organized game, I am looking forward to see how all the boys are doing and progressing in a short period of time. The new guys are being put through a lot very quickly, please continue to encourage them to speak up if they have questions, same with new parents, it can be tough if you have not been through a tough sport like football. Please let me know if you have any questions. Coach Mike
