1st Annual Burton Thanksgiving....A TRUE BLESSING

Thanksgiving 2018

 This was an amazing Thanksgiving

It was the first Time we had all been together on Thanksgiving in over 12 years

ThankYou Lord

for such a blessing of a family

next stop .......Medilogix...."On Call"

Reinventing myself continues

even at 65

Alex moves into his UC Apartment

yes he's on his way to growing up

moving into his apartment bear

UC campus

 of course his apartment is on the 5th floor

and those steps were brutal

try carrying a window unit AC up them

no thanks I made it 3 flights 

then Alex grabbed the unit and simply ran up the remaining 

2 flights

I felt so Old..yikes

 his place is nice

he decorated it with cmputer packing all over the wall 

  must be a 19 yr olds trend

but each apartment has its own entrance and they have a sweet security system

these are his roomates

I call them the "Funky 5"

Chevy Cruze 2018

Can you believe it I purchased a 2018 Chevy Cruze today

from this dude Brian Williams( he helped me a buch)

it wasnt a planned event but I was able to

unload a ton of negative equity out of my 2013 Ford Escape and staet fresh

So Here I am asking myself 

What the Hell just happeed?

Its all good though

I just have to get this whip tinted up ASAP

Dont wanna be driving in a"fish bowl"

brotherly love...(then)1992..and (now) 2018

Jaman and Jason were both in Las Vegas randomly at the 

exact same time

so as a proud papa I simply asked them to take a reinactment pic for me 

and there mom 

just for the memories

I honestly did not think they would do it

but 

THEY DID

and I love them for it.

she dont get that from me.

Will I never learn

so one Thursday Im noticing a swelling in my right foot that is not going down.

Since Im pretty aware of my body I decide to call my primary care Dr 

and ask her advice.

She reccomends that I go to the ER to rule out any blood clots

I concurred seeing that i knew this was not due to a sprain or twist

I assumed it was a circulation issue.

sooooooooooo

I drive myself o the ER explain my case,

I remove my shoe and there is an horrendous odor coming from my foot.

They not being alarmed take a culture of an abrasion that is between my big toe and index toe

on my right foot.

They tell me its best to get me on an  IV antibiotics asap since it will work faster than

any typical oral antibiotics

once again I concurred so they admitted me into the main hospital branch to begin the IV

at this point I said geeezus 

The last ime I was admitted on my own 

I had open heart surgery.

but away I went

like a pig to slaughter.

 I had a very comforatble evening there eating a nice dinner and watching the NBA playoffs

it dont get no better 

IV hooked up fast asleep i dozed

waking up in the morning hungry as hell so I ordered a nice breakfast

but I noticed the odor had somewhat decresaed a tad so things were looking up

so I thought

at that moment my breakfast arrives and the nurse shortly after darts in stating "sir sir 

u are not aloud to eat that breakfast"

I of couse inquired why and was told that a Podiatist ordered aprocedure or something 

and no food intake

All I said get me that podiatist please.

Im starving

1 hr later 

Th podiatrist enters and says this

A bacterial infection has been festering between your toe unknown to you

because of where it was located

it wasn't in site and it wasn't felt when u walked underneath

" we have 2 options regarding your treatment

option 1. we continue the IV antibiotics for 8 weeks and that could POSSIBLY catch the infection

or

option 2. we cut open the toe see how far he infection is and cut that part of the toe away before it reaches the bone

" and you definitely dont want it to reach the bone...DEFINITELY"

Im speechless to what Ive just heard

dumfounded, confused, and perplexed to say the least

 The doc says 

"you need a minute?'

Me: " NOPE CUT THE BITCH Off"

Podiatrist: great decision sir

Me: "BTM"

Podiatrist: "What's that?"

Me: "Black Toes Matter" 

My life :)

The Alex saga continues....did u ever doubt that it would..

So Finally 1 year after graduating high school,

missing his buds, hating staying at home, back to working long hrs at Greaters,

realizing hes not getting any younger, listening to his almost aunt Trisha 

scold him n getting his financial aid done

my oldest knucklehead Grandson makes the

wise masterful decision

to enroll at The Univesity of Cincinnasti

this upcoming Fall of 2018

Below is his 5 roomate buddies that will be living together 

in a house off campus

I named them "The Funky 5"

This is absolutely a disaster awaiting to explode.

however....

....Im still hella 

proud of him.!

Hathi is my Lassie...for sure.

so heres the story, a few weeks back I get up in the middle of the night for a 

potty break like I do every night. after said potty break I find myself lying in the hallway with Hathi licking my face..I have no idea how I got there but being sleepy I get up and go back to bed

I wake up at 7am feed Hathi and let him out to do his business ...I let him back in and once again 

I end up in the middle of the kitchen floor Hathi licking my face again.

again I return to bed 

I get up at 9am and decide to walk hathi however as Im bending over to put on my sweatpants

yup you got it again hathi ends up licking my face.

Now I realize something is wrong so I call terri she takes me to West Chester ER

and as Im wlaking into the doors I black out yet again.

long story short my blood pressure medicine needed to be adjusted and that was the cause for the 

4 previous black outs..

But Heres the clincher

Hathi was the hero the entire time

herte tarining as a service dog actually paid off.

BIG TIME

Hathi is my own personal Lassie

you young ones want get that reference

so ask someone older

Jan 2018.....My baby girl buys a condo

Its hard to believe but little KK has bought a condo

just 2 streets over from where her mom Terri lives

I joke that its an old folks home area

its really not...

but it really is...:)

im so proud of her 

at least now in my elderly years

Ill have my own personal 

adult care facility..
