Sat 1st Playoff game Tomnahawk vs Mason

Well our 1st Playoff Game is history....and so is Mason ...22 -6 we dominated from the very start...Alex ,even though he was coming off a slight stomach virus and missing Fridays practice..He got to play offense and defense the entire 2nd half of the game. As a matter of fact the 2nd string defense had their best game ever..stopping Masons First string offense.

Mason figured once our first team came out of the game ...they would be able to score easily on our 2nd team...but they were gravely surprised our 2nd team hit them just as hard as our first team..."Boy this Tomahawk Team 4 really knows how to hit" Is the chatter in the stands.

Another special treat at the game is Peyton was there..He was a handful..never stopped talking

"grandpa this ..grandpa that" The whole first half .....however the 2nd half was different he played in the dirt under the bleachers the whole time. Dirt is a great babysitter for 4yr old boys.

Backing up a bit...pics attached show Alex and Peyton at home chillin,Peyton at the park just prior to the game, the actual game ,and the victory huddle. Next playoff is next Saturday

stay tuned.....................

Tuesday Scrimmage vs St Susanna ...the best feeling

Today was a milestone "Why you ask?"
It's simple...I'm currently out of town for the entire week..unable to attend any practices and see that Alex is there on time and not missing. so what happens....

At exactly 8:15PM( practice ends at 8:10 My phone rings

"grandpa ...I made two tackles in the scrimmage tonight and I hurt my leg ...but we still beat them 6 touchdowns to 1 touchdown"

that single call makes my whole week...that's all I can say.

He made it to practice, he played in the scrimmage, he made two tackles and he called his grandpa!

end of story!

Tomahawks vs Sharonville last league game

We WON ! 14 -0 Sharonville was BIG and they had one kid #14 That was HUGE..He ran most all of their plays on offense, he made most all of their tackles on defense...He was clearly a foot or two bigger than any of our kids...but he did not like to be hit and that's what we do we HIT HIT and then HIT some more. Our entire team got to play...Alex played a lot of the 2nd half both offense and defense....After the game we went to a local sports bar called "THE BLUE GOOSE" the boys had a great time.
Sure feels good...Kinda sad that its coming to an end soon.
Alex's first time playing football and his team goes undefeated through the season plus wins their Division. That's a stroke of good fortune. But the story is not quite finished yet...We now go into the playoffs and then the Championship game.
We have about 3 more weeks of football..and then we can have the final chapter of Alex Burton's first football adventure..I'm so proud him I dont know what to say.
I did not forget my camera this time as you can see.
