First home Lax game Lakota 5 Milford 3

We won our first home game...Alex played pretty well ...the game was like a Tomahawk Team 4 reunion...KK and Terri showed up, Mom Steph and Josh were there the entire game plus there are quite a few of Alex's Football teammates that also are now playing Lacrosse...Rhys, Steven, Egan, Justin, Kyle, and Simon .

After the game Alex, Payton and I went to the movie just like old times ...Its amazing how fast they are growing Alex is a full 2 inches taller than ...Payton's hair is out of control ...he says he wants to let it grow and get it braided like the "Karate Kid"...

First Time in 3 years.......WOW!!

This past week was the first complete week that I have not taken Alex to any practices or games for a total of 3 years, nor have I seen or been with Payton. Ive been so slammed with work and traveling that mom Steph has actually been doing the "Sports chauffeuring duties"...Its been a bitter sweet week."figure it out"

Now.........................

Today is Alex's first home lacrosse game .....Im gonna attend as a regular grampa not the "Super Grampa with swagger" after the game Im snatching my rugrats back and we are heading to see "RANGO" the new Jonny Depp cartoon movie. So there I get to get my Burton Boyz fix for a few hrs and get my "Super Grampa swagger back..for a day

Ive missed the 2 rugrats this past week

but boy has it been less taxing!

Finally 2011 Lax pics

This is Alex warming up as a goalie for the past weekend games..He played the first game as a goalie and the 2nd game as a middie
Unfortunately we lost both games but afterwards Alex and I have started anew tradition...Taco Bell.....he loves it and I like it also.

No before you ask..mom Steph did not show up......but she promises to make all he home games.

However in her defence she has been taking Alex to Lax practice because Ive been too busy ...he had a total of 4 practices she's taken him to 2.

Spring Lax has started

Alex missed his first game against Moeller. I was out of town and both he and his mom were unaware that he even had a game. Go figure let the fun begin.
His second game was this Sunday...I'm back in the picture .Got him there 10minutes late because he wasn't ready when I was there picking him up. Plus we had to return to his house because he forgot his jersey.
I was furious and scolded him for 30 minutes , the entire way to the game. No fun Im sure for a 11yr boy on a Sunday afternoon
In a nut shell I said "If he is not prepared to go when I arrive to get him again...I'm not taking him and his mom can take him" Oh by the way "She was a no show at the game also" He called her on the way home and she promised that she would not miss anymore games' "whatever"
Regardless we lost the game 5-3 Alex played OK. Got slammed in the head with a stick, went to the ground on his knees, game stopped he hobbled off ,the game resumed..."see this is what happens when you are late and not prepared"
The coach told him he was in the starting lineup but he had to be on time.

( as a side note what you guys don't know is that I spoke to Alex 2 hrs prior to picking him up, reminding he and his mom when I would be getting him..and they were still not ready..)

They have ONE more chance not to fumble the ball Just ONE MORE CHANCE!
