Front desk clerk had no idea what to expect 100's of 6th grade boys from across the midwest

OMG!

Tennessee Day 2

Day 2 started ruff for Alex 7AM he's sick and vomiting every few minutes in the room....I jump up out of bed and address his issues.

Eventually KK and Terri get up but things don't get better for Alex and he ends up not suiting up for the game...

However he does sit n the sideline with the team

and attempts to be a trooper

Tuff day for all of us

but that's football

imitating life

Its not always easy

We win our game 3 22-0 beating the defending champions who beat us last year..we really out played them by far

it was a sweet vengeance game.

I must admit!

Then we returned to our RV to prepare for our last and final championship game and...............

the celebration continued....

Time for the championship game

Alex's stomach virus is not any better so he sits out again

The coaches understood

but I must admit

I did not understand and was not happy with him electing not to get dressed for his final game

We take the field for the 4th time in 2 days after winning

22-0

12-6

and

24-0



but this outcome is different

we get beat by a really good team with a great running back

28-12

if its any consolation we are the only team to have scored on this team the entire tournament

The team that beat us is Ben Davis from Indianapolis

Our coach then gets some alone time with our guys and tells them how much he has appreciated working with them for the past 3 years

tears are flying all over the place

yep even grampa sheds tears

all Team 4 parents and fans were proud and sadden because at this time we all understood

Its over for good

The saga has come to an end!

The boys got 2nd place badges and a 2nd place trophy

We got 2nd place in our divsion out of 100's nof teams across the USA

we head home

back to Cinti

Preparation for Game 1 actually began in the early morning hrs.....
