Alex ........practice.........philosophy......Life

Alex decided that he did not want to go to Lax practice because it was rainy and cold.....He just wants to wait and play in the game ....( after explaining to him the whole teamwork and practice philosophy) I decided that if he wasn't going to practice I wasn't taking him to any games or any more practices if and when he does change his mind....DONE!
The next day I told his mom that she needed to return his Lax jersey to the coach so that another kid could use it...she proceeded to tell me that Alex did not want to quit he just did not want to practice that particular day whats the big deal..... again I started to explain the whole philosophy and then I thought why bother....DONE
I simply said ..Its on your shoulders now Mom...good luck

Lax game today Moeller 16 Lakota 1

We got crushed today in Lacrosse...It was very evident that Moeller has a superior Lacrosse organization to ours.
Alex played fairly decent he had the assist that contributed to our only score.

We still have a long way to go in maintaining our game to a decent level...we need to pass and catch better. We also need to be more aggressive.

We will get there Lacrosse is a long season.

Lacrosse Game loss against Milford 5-3

We arrived to the game 10 minutes late.
Alex played OK...nothing too exciting.
Milford was very aggressive and simply outplayed us.

Our record is now 1/win 1/lost decent start to our season.

LAX game Sunday VICTORY 7-2

Alex did pretty well he played middie all game and had a couple of shots on the goal...one shot hit the goalie pole and did not go in ...but he tried..He won every face off that he did..He did 3 faceoffs...Faceoff is when one person vs one person from the other team in he middle of the field ..the Lax ball is placed in between them and you must compete to get control of the ball...He won all 3...A faceoff is done everytime we score. kinda of like A Football kickoff.

The spring outdoor season starts Sunday March 7 2010

There are 3 5th grade teams

A1-advanced

B1-intermediate

B2-beginner

Alex is on the advanced team..possibly playing 3 positions middie,attack and back up goalie. we had outdoor practice today 9AM -11AM..afterwards we got some lunch came home ate and tossed lacrosse balls for more practice. We play rival Kings tomorrow at 3PM..Ill keep u updated.

I think Lacrosse is his best sport...at least for now it is.

His basketball season ended Friday with a tournament game lost. Alex opted not to go to the game...here's why..... his school was having an annual festival that he just had to attend...I was out of town so I chose not to argue the point...this time!
