It begins
Well for the past 2 weeks on Weds from 7-9PM some of the Tomahawks have been getting together and playing soccer and exercising in an attempt to get ready for summer football practice. 1st week 9 boys were there last night 6 boys were there...These 10yr old boys are pretty lazy and out of shape for the most part...more lazy than anything.
running, panting sitting down and begging for water and that's just while playing soccer.
Alex did OK he wasn't the worst but he wasn't the best either....after we were done to see really how tired Alex was I challenged him to a race to the car...
If he wins he gets Ice cream If he loses he goes home empty handed.
READY, SET , GO!!
Tie....He actually almost beat me..I really had to run NO JOKE!!
He got ice cream!

Equipment handout
Already can u believe it! 7:30AM Saturday morning I'm waking Alex up to go get his football equipment for the upcoming season...Payton tagged along also....... what a treat!
There were about 200-400 kids and parents there standing in line...long lines...He was fitted for a new helmet , shoulder pads, girdle pads, game and practice pants...we were there about 4 hrs.
At least its done.
We then came home and we made something called "BIG BOY PIZZA" Thats right WE Alex and I made it....Its a pizza made out of Frisch's Big Boy ingredients ..It was very very tasty.
Thats how we spent the day ..Equipment handout making and eating pizza, then attending Crossroads church...5:30 Sat service is the one we go to. They like attending Crossroads...there's lots for them to do tons of kids their age, free soft drinks and even a giant Kids Club like tree house that Payton never wants to leave.
This week Alex got a children's bible...he read it in the car all the way home...
Its a start!

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!!!!
Well its summer time and Alex is a big time 5th grader...he told me he got the teacher he wanted "Mrs Tubbs" I think is her name.
School ended last week and we've already attended a football camp for the upcoming season
It was hosted by some Bengal players " There were about 200 boys there Alex knew some of them. It was held at a local West chester jr high school field. It lasted about 4 hrs the boys did drills and caught passes and got autographs if they wanted..Alex did not he didnt know any of the players...no one did actually...but it was a nice event plus it was FREE!!
Payton was also there running around wanting to go to the port-a-potty every 10 minutes because as he puts it.."Im a big boy grandpa"
